General

Your new metal products are easy to maintain. Proper installation and care will result in years of lasting beauty.
We recommend that a professional tile installer worker install the Alfandari Design products.
Over time, the natural aging process will continue and the color of the surface may alter slightly (oxidization) and will darken (patina). To restore color and shine use the instructions below.

To protect the tiles during installation, we recommend masking the tiles. Use extra care to remove excess grout.
The metal tiles are better installed using high performance multi-purpose adhesive or industrial epoxies.
When used in wet location such as in bathroom the natural patina will accelerated and green patina will develop. If you don’t like the look, use the general cleaning instruction as mentioned above.

Important - the Antique finishes (that carry black patina) require an extra care since, forceful rubbing can remove the patina over the object.
Do not use any abrasive pad (such as Scotch-Brite) or scouring powder that would result in scratches of the surface.
Do not use corrosive or acid based solvent that would alter the finish of the product.
Use instead a light-duty, fine cloth with mild soap and water.
To restore shine apply thin layer of oil using a soft cloth. Wipe out the tile thoroughly. Prior to this procedure clean the tile as described above.
Even if, over time, small scratches would appear on the surface, it would only enhance the beauty of the product and would give it a more “authentic” look.
