About Alfandari Design

• Ronit Alfandari-Maimon is a prolific artist engaged in sculpture, painting, photography and illustration. She has developed a unique design language, blending ancient traditions with contemporary style. A language uniquely identified with the artist, making her a leading persona in the design arena.
  Alfandari elaborated a theme that relies on Mediterranean and Israeli, ancient and classical motifs, intertwined with advanced contemporary ideas.
  In this site you will be able the discover works which are based on the art of the Canaanite period, coins, religious and worship tools as well as pieces dating back to the ancient times in the Land of Israel.
  The Mediterranean flora, palm, olive and pomegranate trees; the light, color and fauna typical to this area: deer, tigers, fish and birds, all these serve as inspiration and spectroscopic raw material for the artist and her works.
  
  
  

Materials and finishes

• All the objects are made of the highest quality resistant metals whose beauty improves with time. The Brass and Aluminum tiles undergo special processes which contribute to their final look. In addition, the designer combines a variety of non-metallic materials, such as glass, in order to achieve surprising and unique combinations.
  Nearly all objects are provided in Aluminum and Brass. Each material is provided with 2 finishes: Antique or natural.
  
  
  

The Manufacturing

• All of Alfandari’s works are manufactured using traditional casting methods. Each object undergoes manual (!) processing and polishing in order to achieve the typical Alfandarian look. This manual process guarantees that no two objects are identical. Each piece is a unique work of art.
  
  
  

Usage

• The tiles are used for house decoration in an unusual fashion. The metal tiles as well as the stained glass tile can be combined in furniture, wall covering, doors and windows as well as on the floors. In addition the individual tiles can be hung of the wall as a unique piece of art.
